How does the dual height system work?

One side is 3.5 inches high, the other is 4.3 inches. Switch the pillow to choose your preferred neck support height.

Does the memory foam smell?
When you first open your mellow pillow, you may notice a slight “new foam” or “fresh out of the box” scent. This is completely normal and temporary.

Our pillow uses high-quality foam materials that are compressed and sealed for shipping. When the pillow is unboxed, the materials naturally release trapped air from packaging — a process commonly referred to as off-gassing.

The scent is not harmful and typically dissipates on its own within 24–72 hours

Is the smell toxic or dangerous?

No. The initial scent does not mean your pillow is toxic or unsafe.
 

The materials used in the mellow pillow meet strict safety standards and are designed for everyday sleep use. The smell comes from the manufacturing and packaging process, not from anything being released into the pillow while you sleep.

Once aired out, the scent fades quickly and does not return.
 

How can I get rid of the smell faster?

If you’d like to speed things up, we recommend:

Removing the pillow from its packaging immediately

Letting it air out in a well-ventilated room

Allowing 24–72 hours for full freshness
 

Using a pillowcase and normal room airflow is usually all it takes.
